Reformed Allerton Dramatic Society (RADS) is an amateur dramatic society based in Allerton, south Liverpool. The group has its roots in Allerton United Reformed Church and was founded by church member Margaret Shaw in 1975.

RADS has become a well loved fixture of the area, with the local community attending performances and supporting the society’s activities year after year.

Every year, RADS produces two full-length theatrical plays, performing works by acclaimed playwrights across a variety of genres, from comedies to thrillers. We aim to perform plays to the highest possible standard and our productions use professional curtains, lighting and sound.

RADS rehearses and performs plays in the side hall of Allerton United Reformed Church, a venue which can seat over 200 people, and has done so since its very beginnings.

Whilst RADS is strongly rooted in the local community, our supporters come from near and far. We are always on the lookout for new members and welcome anyone with an interest in drama and theatre to join us at a rehearsal or performance.
