Following months of preparation by the cast and crew, and after a successful run of four performances, RADS’ production of Present Laughter by Noël Coward is officially finished!
Audiences were entertained over four evenings to Coward’s quick wit and lively script. The cast and crew put in a great deal of hard work and it paid off; the Hall was filled with laughter and rapturous applause each night.

It’s always bittersweet when coming to the end of a production but, as the protagonist of Present Laughter, Garry Essendine, himself would say, “Au revoir, my sweet – not goodbye – just au revoir … Come, dear, away with melancholy.”
What’s next?
RADS’ next production will be Wanted – One Body! by Raymond Dyer, directed by Christopher Jones.
Informal auditions will be held at Allerton URC Hall, L18 7HD on Monday 12th June 2023 at 7.30 pm and on Wednesday 14th June 2023 at 8.15 pm.
Audition materials will be provided and you don’t need to prepare anything in advance, just come along to one of the evenings.
The play is a comedy thriller, with 5 male and 4 female parts. It is scheduled to be performed at Allerton URC Hall in October 2023 (exact dates to be confirmed).
